Job Responsibilities:

  1. Operational Risk Assessment of Branches/Units and Bank Policies & Procedures Reviews
  2. Execute operational risk assessments of business units by visiting sample units to oversee control effectiveness. Collaborate with Business & Functions representatives to gather control and risk metrics for monitoring Operational Risk KRIs. Conduct periodic reviews of bank policies, procedures, and products to identify gaps and ensure regulatory compliance, proposing banking best practices proactively. Review risk assessment reports based on data analysis. Ensure bank-wide risk registers, KRIs, KPIs, and internal control testing are effectively maintained and updated annually. Periodically review operational risk assessments to reflect environmental changes, controls, and treatment plans. Use mathematical and statistical tools to support building risk models for operational risk management.
  3. Development & Implementation of Incident Reporting, Loss Database & Risk Management Tools
  4. Assist in developing mechanisms for incident reporting and maintaining a loss database covering all near-misses and losses bank-wide. Report and escalate significant operational risk events. Quantify operational risk using incident and loss data modeling. Conduct root cause analysis for relevant events and provide updates to the Chief Risk Officer and senior management.
  5. Awareness & Training
  6. Conduct awareness and training sessions at assigned branches.
  7. Reporting, Record/Data Maintenance
  8. Prepare and maintain reports of all tasks assigned, including regular and special tasks.
  9. Technical Competency and Skills
  10. Effective interpersonal, communication, team building, and management skills. Good time management. Knowledge of Ubank products, processes, and policies. Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  11. Experience and Qualification
  12. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or related fields. Preferably 3-5 years of experience in accounting, finance, risk management, or banking industry.
