Responsibilities- Produce daily as well as next day requirements of the cycle menu.
- Receive ingredients and other supplies from food store as required for daily operations through the routine procedure.
- Prepare sugar paste or icing, cream mixtures, fondants or meringue required in decorating or in the formation of special molds used in the cakes and pastries.
- Bake quality cakes with various designs, appropriate paste and capable to write on cakes when required or as specified.
- Produce delicious bakery products by ensuring quality and hygiene of all bakery items.
- Maintain related documentation and stock rotation of the items stored in fridges/freezer as assigned by supervisor.
- Responsible for the safety and hygienic condition of the bakery products and immediately report damages/wastes and theft to supervisor.
- Ensure work stations and baking equipment are clean as per the "clean as you go" principle by cleaning cooking equipment, utensils, fridges/walk-in fridges and bakery areas.
- Coordinate the routine cleaning of the areas and equipment with supervisor.
- Work involves shift duties as assigned.
- Preferably Matriculate with Bakery certificate course from a recognized Institution.
- Non-Matriculate with training in Baking from a recognized Institution.
- Matric: 4-5 years of related work experience OR Non-Matric: 5-6 years of related work experience.
- Knowledge of hygiene and sanitation standards.
- Able to read & write in Urdu and English.
- Able to operate Bakery & Kitchen equipment.
- Knowledge of standard recipes and ability to follow written guidelines.
- Respectful attitude towards supervisor and colleagues.
- Ability to work in a team.
- Knowledge of food preparation and presentation methods, techniques, and quality standards.
- As per department policy, the use of cell phone, jewelry, rings, earrings, watches, and chain necklaces during working hours is restricted.
