Summary

Mayatax is a USA-based Accounting & tax firm, ACCA Gold Employer and ICEAW Approved Training Employer, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Accounts Associate to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of accounting operations for our restaurant, with a strong emphasis on accurate and timely payroll processing. This role requires a meticulous and detail-oriented individual with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Payroll Processing:

  • Generate accurate and timely payroll reports from Point of Sale (POS) systems.
  • Conduct thorough reconciliations of payroll data.
  • Prepare detailed payroll reports for accurate and efficient processing, including statutory deductions (TDS, PF, etc.).
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable labor laws and regulations.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including journal entries, ledgers, and reconciliations.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
  • Manage accounts receivable and payable.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

Inventory Management:

  • Identify and address any discrepancies in inventory counts.
  • Assist in the tracking and reconciliation of inventory levels.

Taxation:

  • Assist in the preparation and filing of various tax returns (GST, VAT, etc.).
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations.

Other Duties:

  • Assist with the implementation and maintenance of internal controls.
  • Conduct ad-hoc analysis and reporting as required.
  • Support other accounting and finance-related tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Education: ACCA member or CA Finalist or BS Accounting (essential).
  • Experience: Minimum 1.5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the restaurant or hospitality industry.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and data analysis).
  • Experience with accounting software (e.g., Tally ERP, QuickBooks).
  • Working knowledge of POS systems.
  • Soft Skills:
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently 1 and as part of a team.
