We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Lead Generation and Research Analyst is responsible for identifying and qualifying potential clients through detailed market research, competitor analysis, and data-driven lead generation strategies. They support sales outreach via cold calls, emails, and CRM management while delivering insights to optimize targeting and conversion. Strong analytical, communication, and tool proficiency are key to success in this role.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough research and SWOT analysis on industry trends, market conditions, competitors, and customer preferences.
- Identify, segment, and profile potential clients and target markets to build and maintain high-quality lead lists.
- Generate qualified leads through detailed research, online tools, business directories, and social media platforms.
- Support outbound lead generation efforts through data-backed targeting strategies.
- Collaborate with the sales team to create tailored outreach campaigns for different market segments.
- Initiate cold calls and email outreach to prospects to gauge interest and schedule follow-up meetings for the sales team.
- Maintain and update CRM systems with accurate lead and prospect data, activity tracking, and follow-up actions.
- Analyze qualitative and quantitative data to identify patterns, trends, and actionable sales insights.
- Conduct competitive analysis to benchmark the company's offerings and identify unique selling opportunities.
- Prepare clear, concise reports and dashboards to communicate findings to stakeholders and improve sales strategies.
- Support the development of sales materials and talking points based on market trends and buyer personas.
- Work closely with marketing and sales departments to align messaging, improve conversion rates, and refine the sales funnel.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to lead generation, conversion rates, and outreach performance.
- Stay updated on sales best practices, emerging outreach tools, and new business development techniques.
- Demonstrates flexibility by adapting to shifting priorities, handling multiple projects simultaneously, and adjusting strategies based on evolving market trends and business needs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Statistics, or a related field.
- 2–3 years of experience in a similar role involving market research, lead generation, cold outreach, or sales support.
- Proven ability to generate and qualify leads using both inbound and outbound methods.
- Experience initiating outreach to potential clients with professionalism and persistence.
- Proficiency in lead generation tools (LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, Apollo, etc.) and CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to confidently approach and engage with prospects.
- Analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to interpret complex data and deliver actionable sales insights.
- Proficiency in Excel, and familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
- Working knowledge of statistical software (e.g., SPSS, SAS, R, Python) is a plus.
- Understanding of the sales funnel, customer journey, and conversion metrics.
- Highly organized with excellent time management skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple lead generation projects with tight deadlines.
- Certifications in sales, market research, or data analytics are an advantage.
