Assistant Manager Transport Rollout

About the role:

This position is part of the IP Core, Core Transport Implementation and Access Transport Implementation team, responsible for executing end-to-end deployment of network infrastructure including MW Rollout, CEs, PE/P routers, CDNs, DWDM systems, and IP Aggregation layers. The role combines deep technical expertise with project management skills, ensuring timely, efficient, and quality-driven implementation of network rollouts, upgrades, and migrations. The individual will act as a technical lead for field teams and a liaison between engineering, planning, vendor, and project management stakeholders.

Your Impactful Goals will include:

- Lead the end-to-end execution of IP Core and Transport network projects, ensuring delivery within defined scope, budget, and timelines while maintaining high quality standards.
- Apply project management methodologies to effectively track milestones, manage risks, align resources, and ensure material readiness and vendor coordination.
- Ensure timely delivery of configurations, service provisioning, and site-level activations in line with approved network rollout plans.
- Serve as the central technical and project interface during rollout and handover phases, ensuring all acceptance criteria and performance benchmarks are achieved.
- Drive proactive issue resolution across the project lifecycle, minimizing impact on network performance and ensuring stakeholder satisfaction.

Your Typical Day will look like:

- Reviewing project charters, design documents, and implementation plans in collaboration with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
- Preparing and executing detailed rollout schedules, monitoring progress through project tracking tools, and escalating delays or blockers to relevant teams.
- Supervising or executing network element configurations (e.g., routers, switches), conducting connectivity testing, and validating service delivery.
- Coordinating cross-functionally with operations, planning, and quality assurance teams to manage live cutovers, clear alarms, and verify overall network health post-deployment.
- Participating in project governance meetings, maintaining up-to-date documentation, and ensuring all project deliverables align with contractual and compliance requirements.

Your Career Path:

This role offers a growth path toward positions such as Manager network rollout, senior Manager network rollout, or Infrastructure Delivery Manager, with opportunities to work on nationwide rollouts, emerging technologies, and vendor-driven deployments across the telecom and enterprise domains.

What we're looking for:

Education:Bachelor's degree in electrical or Telecom.

Work experience:At least 5 Years Experience

Certifications:Cisco CCNP-SP / JNCIP-SP andProject Management Certifications (PMP)

Functional Skills/Knowledge Areas:

- Strong hands-on knowledge of IP/MPLS protocols (OSPF, BGP, ISIS, LDP, Segment Routing).
- Experience in router and transport equipment commissioning (CEs, PE/P, DWDM, IP-Agg, CDN).
- Proven ability to manage and coordinate field teams, vendors, and logistics.
- Understanding of project lifecycle management, implementation tracking, and reporting tools (MS Project, Primavera P6)
- Familiar with change management, HLD/LLD interpretation, and implementation checklists.
- Competence in network quality verification, post-deployment testing, and technical handovers.
- Strong documentation, communication, and stakeholder coordination skills.
