Role Purpose

The Education Counsellor will provide excellent counselling services to guide international students in finding the best-fit institution for their learning and career goals. This includes providing information and advice on study opportunities, local education systems, culture, and geography, assisting with application documentation, facilitating enrolments, and promoting IDP products and services.

Key Accountabilities

  • Achieve pipeline goals, customer satisfaction, and advocacy targets through all stages of the student journey. Promote essential products and services, manage leads and applications, seek referral opportunities, participate in events, and maintain the database.
  • Provide outstanding customer service to students, families, and education providers. Engage proactively, provide clear information about admissions and qualifications, and build student engagement through planning activities.

Required Experience

  • Experience in a sales or customer service environment, with a track record of achieving targets.
  • Understanding of the education sector, including student placement into VET and universities, immigration requirements, and processes.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or experience as an Education Counsellor or similar role.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, fluency in English, both verbal and written.
