About the Role

As the Head of Process Audit, you'll be the driving force behind our process audit functions. This strategic role involves developing and executing a robust, risk-based audit plan and overseeing the finalization of comprehensive audit reports. You'll be instrumental in ensuring compliance with organizational objectives, providing strong supervision and guidance to your team, and reporting key insights directly to senior management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategically developed and executed annual audit plans and objectives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and adapting to evolving risk landscapes. Optimized resource allocation and cultivated stakeholder partnerships to maximize audit efficiency and organizational impact.
  • Lead progress meetings to monitor audit activities, proactively resolve challenges, and align audit outcomes with overarching business objectives. Fostered robust stakeholder collaboration to champion continuous improvement and data-driven decision-making.
  • Design and manage a comprehensive, risk-based master audit plan, prioritizing high-risk areas to enhance organizational resilience and ensure seamless alignment with business objectives.
  • Integrate management-identified risks and control concerns into the audit plan, employing a risk-based methodology to prioritize high-impact areas and strengthen organizational governance frameworks
  • Collaborate with the Chief Internal Auditor to build and manage a highly effective process audit function, focusing on comprehensive risk assessment, rigorous control evaluation, and compliance with all relevant internal and regulatory standards.
  • Assess current audit methodologies and tools, benchmarking them against industry best practices and business needs. Proactively identified areas for improvement, proposed actionable enhancements, and implemented solutions to ensure the audit function remains agile and aligned with strategic goals
  • Direct comprehensive surprise and periodic physical audits, alongside IT/MIS audits, to ensure compliance, pinpoint risks, and fortify control measures. Analyzed audit findings to deliver actionable recommendations, significantly enhancing operational and system integrity.
  • Identify critical audit findings and assessed key risk indicators, providing strategic, actionable recommendations to elevate organizational performance, strengthen internal controls, and effectively mitigate potential risks
  • Review self-audit reports to align with the continual improvement agenda, identifying enhancement and mitigation opportunities, and providing feedback and guidance to strengthen processes and controls.
  • Enhance compliance, mitigate risks, and improve operational efficiency, monitor audit observations and ensure the timely implementation of recommendations. This process involves engaging with senior management to discuss findings, provide critical insights, and recommend targeted corrective actions to strengthen controls.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Education: Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA) - in addition a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) would be preferred.
  • Experience: At least of 12 years of progressive experience with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of managing teams and successful project delivery.
  • Experience in Audit within the manufacturing sector
