The Position

Harris is seeking a finance professional to join our Corporate team in the capacity of Financial Staff Accountant, reporting to the Corporate Controller. We are a complex and dynamic organization with opportunities for advancement. We are looking for someone highly efficient and organized with attention to detail.

Position Description

• Prepare and post monthly allocation of Corporate costs to all business units
• Approve payments to key IT vendors
• Approve Corporate fixed asset purchases in the Materials Management System
• Prepare quarterly leadsheets for all balance sheet and income statement accounts
• Prepare a quarterly listing of stock equipment deployments
• Prepare a quarterly SRED credits workbook
• Assist with special projects & ad hoc reporting as required by Corporate Finance management

The candidates will be required to perform a combination of the following tasks:

• Intercompany reconciliation
• Fixed asset reconciliations
• Salaries and other payroll reconciliations
• Credit card reconciliation

Qualifications

• Finalist or completed professional accounting qualification / Bachelor\'s degree in accounting or finance
• Experience preparing journal entries
• Public accounting or large corporate experience preferred
• Strong written, oral and computer skills (preferably Word and Excel)
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Attention to detail
• Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains, SAP Business Planning and Consolidation (BPC) Software and Blackline experience considered an asset
