The Aga Khan University, chartered in 1983 as Pakistan's first private international university, is committed to the provision of education, research, and health care of international standard relevant to Pakistan and the region. The affiliated Aga Khan University Hospital (AKUH) has well-equipped investigative services and provides state-of-the-art clinical facilities. AKUH is the first hospital in Pakistan to be awarded the prestigious Joint Commission International Accreditation (JCIA) for practicing the highest internationally recognized healthcare standards.

The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at The Aga Khan University is a dynamic academic centre which serves the diagnostic needs of the country through its clinical laboratory services that spreads across Pakistan. AKUH's Clinical Laboratory is College of American Pathologists (CAP) accredited and caters to the need of the entire country through its tertiary lab at the main campus and 300+ specimen collection units and 13 stat labs across Pakistan.

The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine consists of five major sections namely Chemical Pathology, Haematology & Transfusion Medicine, Histopathology, Microbiology, and Molecular Pathology. Each section is academically driven and is highly engaged in research and undergraduate, postgraduate teaching and training.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible to:

  • visit Doctors / Physicians regularly to get their feedback to improve laboratory services
  • perform corporate visits for business development
  • discuss issues with doctors related to lab tests / services & ensure feedback from AKUH and maintain records of the same
  • organize events such as Continuous Medical Education (CME), Health Awareness Program
  • collaborate with the senior manager to develop and implement strategies to drive sales growth and achieve departmental goals
  • achieve revenue volume surplus budget targets of all assigned phlebotomy stations by developing & implementing effective strategies
  • supervise Sales Team field-related matters, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and escalating complex matters as needed
  • coordinate with other departments, including marketing and laboratory operations, to streamline processes and optimize workflow
  • ensure compliance with CAP/JCIA standards by conducting regular audits
  • ensure a safe environment for patients, staff and visitors by implementing safety regulations
  • handle lab test queries, incidents reporting and complaints of patients/physician within the stipulated timeline
  • combine working with team members and evaluating the performance of the sales team, providing feedback and coaching to support their professional development
Requirements

You should have:

  • a Master's Degree in Business Administration / Health Administration or equivalent from a reputed university
  • 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in health care administration
  • administrative capabilities
  • knowledge in business Marketing
  • good knowledge of employee relation techniques.
  • possess good analytical skills
  • ability to work under pressure
