Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and technically proficient Pre-Sales Engineer to join our Telecom and IT Solutions team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in bridging customer needs with cutting-edge technical solutions, working closely with the sales team, customers, OEM partners, and internal technical teams to deliver tailored proposals and support business growth.
This role requires strong technical acumen, customer engagement skills, and the ability to design comprehensive solutions that align with client requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the technical point of contact during pre-sales engagements.
- Gather and analyze customer requirements through meetings, workshops, and site visits.
- Present and articulate proposed solutions clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Solution Design and Proposal Development:
- Design customized Telecom/IT solutions based on customer needs, incorporating best practices and industry standards.
- Prepare detailed technical proposals, solution architectures, BoQs (Bill of Quantities), RFP/RFI responses, and tender documentation.
- Demonstrations and Proof of Concept (POC):
- Plan, coordinate, and execute product demonstrations, proof-of-concept trials, and pilot projects for prospective customers.
- Collaboration with OEMs/Partners:
- Work closely with OEM partners (e.g., Huawei, ZTE, Ericsson, Nokia) to validate solution designs, pricing, and compatibility.
- Stay abreast of partner product roadmaps, certifications, and updates.
- Support for Project Implementation:
- Provide technical oversight and guidance to project delivery teams during handover and throughout project execution.
- Assist in solution validation, configuration review, and customer acceptance processes.
- Continuously research and monitor industry trends, competitor activities, emerging technologies, and evolving customer demands.
- Recommend updates to the product and solutions portfolio based on market and customer insights.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Telecommunications, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a pre-sales, solution architecture, or technical sales engineering role with major Telecom/IT vendors.
- Strong technical knowledge and practical expertise in at least one or more of the following domains:
- Wireless/Cellular Technologies: LTE, 5G NR, Small Cells, DAS (Distributed Antenna Systems), Private 5G Networks.
- Information Technology (IT): Enterprise Storage Solutions, Servers, Virtualization Technologies (VMware, Hyper-V), Data Center Infrastructure.
- IP/Data Communications: Campus Networks, LAN/WAN Design, SD-WAN, Network Security Solutions, Routing and Switching.
Desired Skills and Competencies
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including proposal writing and solution presentation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) and basic diagramming tools for solution architecture.
- Knowledge of industry certifications will be a plus (e.g., HCIA/HCIP, CCNA/CCNP, VCP, JNCIA).
- Willingness to travel as required for client meetings, site visits, and project support.
