Job Purpose:
The GM Sales – South will be responsible for leading and expanding Medics MP's commercial footprint in the Northern region by driving sales performance, managing key healthcare accounts, building strategic partnerships, and leading a high-performing sales team. The role demands strong leadership, in-depth knowledge of the medical/pharmaceutical industry, and a customer-centric approach to healthcare solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Strategy & Execution:
Develop and execute regional sales strategies aligned with Medics MP's overall business objectives. Ensure targets are met for revenue, profitability, and market expansion. - Lead, coach, and manage a team of Territory Managers, Key Account Executives, and Medical Sales Representatives across the South. Foster a culture of performance, accountability, and continuous learning.
- Key Account Management:
Maintain strong relationships with major hospitals, pharmacies, clinics, and healthcare professionals. Lead negotiations and long-term contracts with institutional buyers. - Monitor competitor activity, market trends, and regulatory changes. Provide insights for product positioning, pricing strategies, and new business development.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with marketing, regulatory, distribution, and supply chain teams to align sales efforts with product launches, promotions, and customer feedback. - Compliance & Reporting:
Ensure full compliance with industry regulations and Medics MP's internal policies. Regularly report sales performance, forecasts, and customer insights to senior leadership. - Customer Focus:
Champion Medics MP's customer-first philosophy by ensuring exceptional service and support to healthcare partners.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Business, or a related field. MBA is a strong plus.
- 3+ years of progressive experience in sales within the pharmaceutical, medical devices, or healthcare solutions sector.
- Deep understanding of the South region healthcare ecosystem, including public/private hospitals, medical institutions, and distribution networks.
- Proven track record of driving sales growth and building high-performing teams.
- Strong communication, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in CRM tools and MS Office Suite.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the region.
