Software Quality Assurance Engineer Role

A venture studio with a focus on innovation and digital transformation is seeking a detail-oriented Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Engineer to join their quality assurance team. The ideal candidate will work under the guidance of senior QA professionals to support testing efforts for various software applications.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  1. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute test plans and test cases for diverse software applications.
  2. Perform manual testing to identify defects and ensure functionality meets specifications, leveraging industry-standard testing methodologies and tools.
  3. Document test results and track issues using agile bug tracking platforms, facilitating effective issue resolution and improvement.
  4. Participate in daily stand-ups and bi-weekly project meetings, providing updates on testing progress and results to stakeholders.
  5. Work closely with development teams to understand product requirements and provide feedback on quality issues, ensuring seamless collaboration and delivery.
  6. Engage in continuous learning and skill development through mentorship, training, and self-directed initiatives, staying up-to-date with emerging technologies and best practices.
  • Required Skills and Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, preferably from an accredited institution.
  2. Prior experience in software testing or quality assurance, either through internships or full-time roles, is highly valued.
  3. Fundamental understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and tools, including Agile and DevOps practices.
  4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  5. Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the capacity to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
  6. Demonstrated willingness to learn and grow, with a passion for exploring new technologies and testing approaches.
