Job Title: Chief Engineer

 

Job Description

The role of a Chief Engineer requires strategic leadership and technical expertise in the implementation and maintenance of remote monitoring systems. With a strong background in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronics/Telecommunications, this individual will oversee the safe, efficient operation, and maintenance of natural gas measuring equipment installed at Industrial Gas meter stations and Town Border Stations.

 

This professional will be responsible for supervising the Data Acquisition System for Customer Meter Stations (CMS) within the designated franchise area, ensuring proper functionality of Remote Monitoring Equipment installed across CMSs/TBSs. Additionally, they will design dashboards and screens for exceptions and monitoring of consumption, as well as develop and implement key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for each area of responsibility.

 

A successful candidate will possess excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to conduct root cause analysis, document problems, and coordinate with relevant departments for swift resolution. They will also oversee field activities related to the installation, startup, maintenance, and operation of data acquisition equipment across the franchise network.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain the integrity of natural gas measuring equipment installed at Industrial Gas meter stations and Town Border Stations.
  • Supervise the effective operation and maintenance of the Data Acquisition System for Customer Meter Stations (CMS).
  • Ensure proper functionality of Remote Monitoring Equipment installed across CMSs/TBSs in the franchise area.
  • Design and implement performance metrics for each area of responsibility.
  • Conduct thorough investigations and provide timely resolutions to reported issues.
  • Coordinate and manage field activities related to the installation, startup, maintenance, and operation of data acquisition equipment.
Requirements

To succeed in this position, applicants must have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronics/Telecommunications.
  • Minimum of 9 years of post-qualification experience.
  • At least 9 years' post-qualification experience in remote monitoring and data acquisition in the Oil and Gas sector.
