The Lead Technical Support Engineer is a senior subject matter expert responsible for providing complex technical support.
As an L4 support engineer, they are the go-to individual for troubleshooting complex issues or product-level bugs that technical support engineers cannot resolve.
They manage, track, diagnose, and troubleshoot high-level cases for Technical Support Engineers and provide leadership to the technical support team.
This includes mentoring, training, and coaching other technical support engineers, helping them develop their skills and expertise.
The Lead Technical Support Engineer collaborates with engineering teams across the company to identify and address technical issues affecting customers.
They drive continuous improvement in the technical support process by analyzing trends in customer issues and creating new support processes and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:- Deep understanding of the product, analysis, and diagnosis of complex issues, and provision of solutions minimizing user disruption.
- Resolution of complex technical issues and product-level limitations not resolvable by Technical Support engineers.
- Creation and maintenance of technical documentation for internal and external use, ensuring accuracy and ease of understanding.
- Cross-department collaboration to identify and address technical issues affecting customers.
- Leadership and mentoring of Technical Support Engineers, sharing knowledge and expertise.
- Identification of opportunities for process improvement and driving changes to improve efficiency and effectiveness of technical support.
- Participation in on-call support rotations for 24/7 support and urgent issue resolution.
