Art Director

As a skilled and innovative Art Director, you will be responsible for leading the visual direction of our organization's marketing efforts. Your expertise in composition, color theory, and design principles will enable you to develop creative solutions that effectively communicate our brand message.

To succeed in this role, you must have a solid understanding of advertising, communication design, or visual arts principles. A bachelor's degree is preferred, but an associate's degree with relevant experience will also be considered. You should have at least 3 years of experience in a design agency setting, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality work under tight deadlines.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing concept art that effectively communicates the strategic intent of each marketing tactic
  • Collaborating with copywriters/content developers to develop creative concepts and executions
  • Providing accurate time and cost estimates for each project
  • Performing miscellaneous tasks as directed by supervisor
  • Advising clients on technical visual recommendations and/or issues

Required skills and qualifications include:

  • Mastered composition techniques, including multiple elements and interactive pieces
  • Comprehensive photo-retouching and image development skills
  • Demonstrated understanding of color theory and color relationships
  • Perspective and space relationships
  • Page composition and grid structures
  • Print production process knowledge
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate thorough knowledge of assigned products
  • Exceptional computer skills
  • Thorough knowledge of software applications such as After Effects, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Photoshop
