Job Overview

This role focuses on implementing Corrosion Control (CC) activities across pipeline networks, ensuring their integrity and reliability. The incumbent will work closely with various stakeholders to achieve project objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Collaborate with government agencies to obtain necessary permissions for conducting CC operations.
  2. Perform maintenance and rectification of installed CC stations in accordance with established standards.
  3. Apply protective coatings and wrappings to pipelines, optimizing CC performance.
  4. Conduct field tests, including Pipeline Current Mapping (PCM), Close Interval Potential Survey (CIPS), and soil resistivity measurements.
  5. Develop recoating and rectification plans based on test results.
  6. Assist in surveying, designing, and data collection for CC projects.
  7. Present findings and recommendations to management.
  8. Design and implement sacrificial anode systems for pipeline protection against corrosion.
  9. Implement policies and procedures for corrosion control, undertaking required work for pipelines and systems.
  10. Prepare survey reports highlighting coating-related deterioration.
  11. Validate Pipeline Integrity Assessment and identify vulnerable sections.
  12. Plan and coordinate Root-Cause-Analysis (RCA) and Fitness for Service (FFS) assessments, proposing replacement plans for pressure equipment and pipelines.
  13. Procure necessary materials and equipment on a timely basis.
  14. Monitor coating status for under construction and new pipeline projects.
