Information Security Auditor

This role involves conducting independent evaluations to determine the effectiveness and efficiency of information systems in safeguarding assets and maintaining data integrity. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of IS concepts, strong technical knowledge of network and server operating systems, and good report writing skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough internal audits to analyze and evaluate management control systems, company activities, processes, and procedures.
  • Review and appraise the soundness and adequacy of Information Technology (IT) installations, applications, and operations.
  • Assist operational audit staff with integrated audits and collect, analyze, interpret, and document information for preparing complete, effective, and timely IS audit reports.
  • Actively participate in reviewing the design and development of significant new information systems or applications and review general controls of the IS function to ensure reliability, integrity, and security over data being processed.
  • Review application controls of significant installed information systems to assess their reliability in processing data in a timely, accurate, and complete manner.
Requirements:

Qualification: Minimum Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
Experience: Minimum 3-4 years of experience in IS Audit, preferably in the banking sector.
Key Competencies:

  • Solid understanding of IS concepts
  • Strong technical knowledge of network and server operating systems, databases, and hardware relevant to environment
  • Good Report Writing Skills
  • Good Communications Skills
  • Demonstrated experience with personal computers (PCs) and local area network (LAN/wide area network (WAN) theory
