Prosecutor

The ideal candidate should possess a strong educational background in Law, with a Bachelor's degree (LLB) and preferably an LLM. A minimum of 5 years of experience handling legal matters as a practicing lawyer is required.

We are looking for someone who has expertise in prosecuting gas theft cases in Gas Utility Courts, High Court, and other courts under the Gas Theft Control and Recovery Act 2016 and related rules.

Responsibilities:

  • Court Proceedings: Prosecute gas theft cases judiciously and expeditiously, ensuring that all relevant laws and regulations are adhered to.
  • Case Preparation: Draft appeal(s), review/revision petition(s), reply para-wise comments, written statements, and represent the company in constitution petition(s) filed by or against the company before the competent court.
  • Legal Advice: Provide legal professional advice and guidelines to investigation officers and assist in the preparation of cases.
  • Case Updates: Keep the prosecution wing/law officer updated with the conduct of complainants and witnesses during the court proceedings.

This role requires a high level of professionalism, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. The selected candidate will work closely with the prosecution team to ensure that justice is served effectively and efficiently.

Qualifications and Experience:

The ideal candidate should have a proven track record of successfully prosecuting cases, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work well under pressure. Strong knowledge of the Gas Theft Control and Recovery Act 2016 and related rules is essential.

  • Strong Legal Background: LLB and LLM degrees with at least 5 years of experience handling legal matters.
