Job Overview

This role involves creating data visualization solutions that help drive business decisions. As a skilled Power BI developer, you will design and implement interactive reports and dashboards that provide actionable insights.

Responsibilities
  • Advanced Data Modelling – Design, optimize and maintain Power BI semantic models for accuracy, performance and scalability.
  • Technical Expertise – Develop and refine complex DAX measures, implement calculation groups and apply advanced techniques to support business requirements.
  • Security Governance – Configure and manage Row-Level Security (RLS), enforce governance standards and ensure compliance with best practices.
  • DevOps & Collaboration – Utilize version control systems like Git/Azure DevOps to create branches, manage pull requests and merge code into the main branch as part of structured release processes.
  • SQL Development – Craft efficient SQL queries to transform datasets for integration into Power BI models.
  • Deliverables – Own tasks from specification through delivery, ensuring timely and high-quality outputs with minimal supervision.
  • Modeling Best Practices – Champion dimensional modelling and star schema design to ensure consistency, maintainability and performance across the reporting layer.
  • Reporting Solutions – Develop and enhance enterprise-grade dashboards that prioritize usability, performance and alignment with business objectives.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience as a Power BI Developer or similar role.
  • Proven track record designing complex Power BI models and reports with deep knowledge of DAX, RLS and calculation groups.
  • Strong understanding of dimensional modelling, star schemas and BI best practices.
  • Experience with data modeling and report design best practices.
  • Knowledge of SQL and working with databases.
  • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Additional experience with visualization tools is a plus.
