Accounting Professional

A US renewables company is seeking a skilled accounting professional to join their financial planning and analysis team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for collaborating with stakeholders to develop budgets, identifying budgetary inputs, and resolving solutions enabled by analytics.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Pull non-comp data from the general ledger.
  • Sort data into groupings that align with budget planning.
  • Organize data to facilitate analysis and reporting.
  • Identify planned and unplanned expenditures.
  • Collaborate with the FP&A team to update projected spending and future resource needs.
  • Review cash-based cost trackers and reconcile with GAAP expenses.
  • Reconcile actuals from detailed accounting files to budget figures and mapping.
Goals and Objectives:
  • Develop a system to pull non-comp data, compare it to budgets, and identify unexpected items.
  • Apply analytics to review and expand upon data.
  • Expand responsibilities to include KPIs and other systems.
Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of proven experience in corporate accounting and budgeting.
  • Heavy balance sheet experience preferred.
  • Solid ability to analyze GL information and subsequent cost analysis.
  • GAAP vs IFRS capability a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Bachelor's in Accounting or relevant work experience.
  • MS Office software proficiency.
  • Experience in BI tools a plus.
  • Professional command of English (written and verbal).
