Job Title: Proposal & Bidding Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced proposal specialist to join our team.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying suitable opportunities, crafting persuasive proposals, and establishing lasting client relationships that lead to repeat business. Key responsibilities include:

  • Identifying relevant jobs and bidding opportunities based on service offerings.
  • Writing customized, compelling proposals and cover letters to maximize win rates.
  • Strategically managing and growing our profile (ratings, job success score, client feedback).
  • Building relationships with clients to secure long-term collaborations and repeat work.
  • Coordinating with the internal team to estimate effort and ensure realistic delivery timelines.
  • Keeping detailed records of proposals sent, outcomes, and lessons learned to refine strategy.
  • Continuously monitoring platform trends and changes to stay competitive.

Skill Requirements:

  • Ability to write clear, tailored, and persuasive proposals.
  • Knowledge of how to improve ratings, job success score, client feedback, and responsiveness.
  • Understanding of tone, structure, and content that resonates with clients.
  • In-depth knowledge of Upwork's interface, policies, bidding system, and algorithm.
  • Experience in managing and optimizing profiles.
  • Strong sales mindset with the ability to identify and qualify high-potential job leads.
  • Understanding of client psychology and how to position offers to convert leads.
  • Fluent written and verbal English.
  • Ability to professionally communicate with clients, ask relevant questions, and handle objections.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related fields.

Work Experience:

  • Minimum 6 months of proven freelancing experience, preferably on Upwork or similar platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to write winning proposals and secure projects.
  • Experience in managing or contributing to a freelance profile's growth is a strong plus.
