Job Description

The UK-Pakistan Serious Crime and Law Enforcement (UPSCALE)-2 programme is an initiative aimed at addressing cross-border crime. This 12-month project seeks to enhance protection for vulnerable communities by improving systems and reducing threats.

The programme will focus on five key areas:

  • Criminal Justice Cooperation: Strengthening the process in Pakistan for effective, efficient, expeditious, and accountable mutual legal assistance and extradition.
  • Irregular Migration: Detecting and targeting irregular migration via Pakistan airports.
  • Community Protection: Operationalising a sex offender register and delivering AI-driven capability to target online child sexual exploitation and abuse.
  • Criminal Record Sharing: Ensuring timely, reliable, consistent, and adequate criminal records data transmission from Pakistan to the UK.
  • Countering Narcotics: Enhancing system capacity to tackle shared narcotics-related threats.

The project will implement a results-focused delivery approach, prioritizing collaborative working and developing insights, technical knowledge, and thought leadership within the project and across the organisation.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting adaptive and problem-driven delivery of reform activities, documenting progress reports, maintaining high-quality documentation, collecting and analysing data, executing workshops and events, and engaging stakeholders.
