**Job Overview:**

The role is a senior-level position responsible for managing key aspects of customer onboarding in a banking setting. This includes performing Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) checks, as well as ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

As a senior lead, you will play a key role in maintaining relationships with various stakeholders, including business managers, AML, Compliance, Credit, Management, and other Back Office areas.

  • You will have a deep understanding of KYC/AML policies and procedures, as well as central bank rules and regulations related to these areas.
  • You will work closely with both business and COB analysts to resolve complex and special case issues.
  • You will be responsible for ensuring that all Management Information Systems (MIS) meet business, regulatory, and internal reporting expectations.
  • You will collaborate with onboarding process stakeholders to identify process inefficiencies and contribute to the overall reduction in turnaround times.
  • You will recognize emerging risks within the scope of onboarding and work with relevant stakeholders to flag and mitigate them.
  • You will drive strong governance over Business As Usual Processes (KYC and CAM), prioritizing critical items and ensuring delivery within Service Level Expectations (SLEs).
  • You will assist on key COB projects and initiatives.
  • You will support the COB Manager during internal/external audits and KYC-related queries from local regulators.
  • You will handle general KYC documentation, scanning, and filing of physical documents.
  • You will stay up-to-date on Advanced Financial Crime (AFC) related regulatory changes and industry trends to ensure the quality of the CDD operation meets policy requirements.
  • You will analyze AFC risks associated with clients from a technical perspective, identify potential risks and operational issues, and escalate them as necessary.
  • You will develop and produce critical metrics and reporting that provide data on department performance, risk quantification, stratification, and resource capacity limitations.
  • You will manage escalations and handoffs to the AFC function.

**Requirements and Qualifications:**

To be successful in this role, you will need a University Graduate qualification and knowledge of local AML/KYC requirements and/or compliance-related qualifications.

A minimum of eight years of experience in banking, with at least four years of KYC/AML onboarding-related roles, is required.

You should also have a good understanding and experience of Investment Banking and products, including traded products, commodities, corporate finance, transaction banking, etc.

Additionally, you should be able to work under pressure, prioritize tasks effectively, and communicate clearly with stakeholders.
