Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Manual QA Tester for our cloud applications. As a Staff Test Engineer at Cloudpso, you will be responsible for designing and executing manual test cases to ensure the quality of our cloud-based products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manual Testing: Develop detailed, accurate, and comprehensive manual test cases for our cloud applications. Execute these test cases thoroughly, ensuring every feature and edge case is evaluated, with an emphasis on user-experience validation and regression testing.
  • Test Strategy: Lead the creation and refinement of manual testing strategies, ensuring efficient test coverage, prioritization of test scenarios, and continuous improvement of manual testing processes.
  • Defect Identification and Reporting: Actively identify, document, and prioritize defects during manual testing. Collaborate with the development team to ensure bugs are addressed in a timely and efficient manner. Ensure thorough root-cause analysis for complex issues discovered manually.
  • Azure Infrastructure: Set up and manage Azure Virtual Machines (VMs), configure networks, and handle storage for testing purposes. Perform testing on remote machines, leveraging Azure infrastructure.
  • Operating Systems and Browsers: Conduct testing on a wide variety of operating systems and browsers to ensure the product works consistently across all platforms (e.g., 10 different OS variants).
  • Defect Management: Log, track, and report bugs efficiently using standardized defect management tools, ensuring that issues are properly documented and resolved.
  • Agile Ceremonies: Actively participate in Agile ceremonies such as stand-ups, sprint planning, and story reviews. Work closely with developers and product managers to refine user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Load and Security Testing: Be aware of and assist in load testing and security testing efforts to ensure application performance and resilience under stress.
  • Release Deployment: Support release deployments, ensuring that high-quality features and end-to-end scenarios are validated before going into production.
  • Problem-Solving: Provide analytical insight to complex problems, ensuring that all issues are identified and resolved in a timely manner.

Requirements:

  • Manual Testing Experience: Minimum of 5 years in QA engineering, with a strong emphasis on manual testing. Proven expertise in manual test case creation, test execution, and defect management.
  • Manual Testing Expertise: Expertise in designing and executing manual test cases for both functional and non-functional testing. Strong understanding of exploratory testing and regression testing techniques.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in desktop application testing using Appium or similar. Proficiency in web application testing using Selenium, Playwright frameworks. Solid understanding of Azure infrastructure, including VM creation, networking, and storage configuration.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional English communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Agile Environment Experience: Experience working in an Agile environment, reviewing user stories, and providing feedback to ensure clarity and testability.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Team Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively with a distributed team while being highly organized and able to manage testing across multiple environments.
  • Passion for Quality: Demonstrated passion for delivering high-quality software and features in fast-paced environments.
  • Defect Management Tools: Proficient in using bug tracking tools like JIRA and reporting test results effectively.
