Community Health Outreach Role

This is a challenging role that involves working with local communities to promote health and hygiene practices.

The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing the health/hygiene promotion/education/awareness component of our health program in the target areas. They will work closely with community members to build partnerships and facilitate awareness sessions.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Build partnerships with key stakeholders and individuals in the community.
  • Liaise and coordinate with program staff for project implementation.
  • Carry out awareness raising sessions and outreach activities to inform the community members about services.
  • Facilitate and organize awareness sessions for communities on basics of health and key health activities conducted at our health facilities in the community.
  • Act in a respectful and culturally sensitive manner towards other colleagues & community.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Secondary School Certificate/Matric
  • Previous work as Community Volunteer
  • Awareness about local culture and languages
