The successful applicant will be responsible for overseeing all outbound FG distribution operations, including inventory control. Additionally, they will ensure timely and superior service through effective supervision and control of transportation. Furthermore, they will identify opportunities to optimize costs and achieve savings targets.
Key responsibilities include supervising and controlling transportation services, tendering for transportation services, cost control, and designing and reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs). Moreover, the individual will lead the agenda of transformation for outbound distribution to maximize efficiency.
They will participate in budgeting processes, execute budgets, and drive cost savings. Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies is also a key responsibility. Upskilling and professional development of transportation leads and ground teams are essential.
The successful candidate will manage the performance of service providers, ensuring high standards of service and compliance with contractual agreements. They will create purposeful partnerships with 3PL providers and promote sustainable practices to reduce the environmental impact of logistics operations.
