Job Title

A Database Administrator is needed to manage, design and optimize databases for .NET and cloud-based applications. This is a key role for a proactive professional with a strong analytical approach to problem-solving.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Administer, maintain and support MS SQL Server databases in development, staging and production environments.
  • Identify and resolve database performance bottlenecks using advanced monitoring and profiling tools to ensure optimal health and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with development teams to design and implement efficient database schemas, write and optimize complex queries, stored procedures, functions and triggers.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of database configurations, processes and troubleshooting procedures.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A minimum of 5-7 years of professional experience as a Database Administrator for web and distributed applications.
  • Expert-level knowledge of MS SQL Server deployments, installations and configurations.
  • Strong command of SQL/T-SQL for query writing, performance tuning and development of stored procedures, functions and triggers.
  • Deep understanding of SQL Server architecture and features, including indexing, partitioning, replication and file grouping.
  • Proficiency in advanced performance monitoring and debugging tools such as SQL Server Profiler, Extended Events and Dynamic Management Views (DMVs).
  • Solid grasp of database concepts like connection pooling, locking, transaction isolation levels and deadlock resolution.
  • Experience with .NET-based applications and their database management requirements.
  • Good understanding of Object-Relational Mappers (ORMs) and how they interact with databases.
  • Familiarity with web application architecture and the HTTP protocol.
