About the position: Accounts and Tax Professional

We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all tax-related matters while also handling general accounting functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure compliance with FBR regulations.
  2. Prepare and file Income Tax returns, GST returns, WHT returns, and other relevant filings.
  3. Manage tax planning strategies to optimize tax positions.
  4. Liaise with external auditors and tax authorities as needed.
  5. Monitor changes in tax laws and assess their impact on the business.
  6. Maintain proper documentation for tax-related matters.
  7. Maintain accurate financial records and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  8. Manage accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, bank reconciliations, and invoicing.
  9. Perform month-end and year-end closing processes.
  10. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 2+ years of experience in accounting and tax management.
  • Strong understanding of Pakistan tax regulations and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines.

Benefits:

  • This is a full-time onsite role located in Karachi.
  • The work timings are Monday to Saturday from 09:00 A.M to 06:00 P.M.
