Safety and Quality Assurance Manager

The EHS Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of employees, visitors, and the environment. This position requires a unique blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and effective communication abilities.
- Daily Safety Checks: Conduct thorough self-inspections on the production floor to guarantee safe machine operation, identify gaps, and promptly resolve any issues that arise.
- EHS Document Management: Prepare and review all Environmental Health & Safety documents, including SOPs checklists, to ensure compliance and effectiveness.
- Permit to Work System Implementation: Verify the proper implementation of the permit to work system across departments.
- PPE Usage and Storage: Inspect the correct usage and storage of personal protective equipment to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Audit Scheduling: Coordinate level 1 and level 2 audits for all departments to maintain a high standard of safety and efficiency.
- Training and Development: Organize and conduct training sessions and stop-start exercises to promote a culture of safety awareness among employees.
This role involves various key responsibilities, including:
- Root Cause Analysis (RCA): Demonstrate expertise in RCA techniques to identify and resolve complex safety issues.
- Leadership and Communication: Provide clear guidance and communication to colleagues, management, and external stakeholders on EHS matters.
- Reporting and Analytics: Effectively gather, analyze, and present KPI data to inform business decisions and drive continuous improvement.
- Crisis Management Planning: Review and implement emergency response plans to ensure readiness and preparedness in case of an incident or crisis.
