Job Title: Climate Adaptation Manager

About the Job

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to fill this position. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in climate change, disaster risk reduction, and community-based development. They will also have excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the implementation of climate adaptation projects, including project planning, coordination, and monitoring and evaluation.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with government agencies, NGOs, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to project staff on climate adaptation and disaster risk reduction.
  • Conduct needs assessments and gap analysis to identify areas for climate adaptation and resilience building.
  • Develop and implement strategies for integrating climate change into existing development programs and policies.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A Master's degree in a relevant field such as climate science, environmental studies, or international development.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in climate adaptation, disaster risk reduction, or community-based development.
  • Proven experience working with government agencies and international organizations.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • A strong understanding of climate change, disaster risk reduction, and community-based development principles and practices.
