Business Development Manager Job Description

Sales Managers develop and implement business strategies to achieve company sales goals and profitability. Strong leadership skills are essential as you will manage a team of account executives.

The ideal candidate will have working experience with Metro/Makro or Hyper Star and possess excellent communication and negotiation skills. You will work closely with the senior management team to provide timely feedback on performance and assist in the development and implementation of marketing plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develops business plans and sales strategies to ensure attainment of company sales goals and profitability.
  • Manages the performance and development of Account Executives.
  • Prepares action plans for effective search of sales leads and prospects.
  • Initiates and coordinates development of action plans to penetrate new markets.
  • Assists in the development and implementation of marketing plans.
  • Conducts one-on-one reviews with Account Executives to improve communication and understanding of training and development needs.
  • Provides timely feedback to senior management regarding performance.
  • Provides accurate and competitive pricing on all completed prospect applications submitted for approval.
  • Maintains accurate records of pricing, sales, and activity reports.
  • Creates and conducts proposal presentations.
  • Controls expenses to meet budget guidelines.
  • Recruits, tests, and hires Account Executives based on agreed criteria.

Job Specification:

  • Provides accurate and competitive pricing on all completed prospect applications.
  • MUST HAVE WORKING EXPERIENCE WITH METRO/ MAKRO OR HYPER STAR.
  • Maintains accurate records of pricing, sales, and activity reports.
  • Creates and conducts proposal presentations.
  • Controls expenses to meet budget guidelines.
  • Adheres to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes.
  • Recruits, tests, and hires Account Executives based on agreed criteria.
