Virtual Finance Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Virtual Finance Manager to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of our operations.

About the Role
  • Bulk Charges: You will be responsible for checking all family records and ensuring that charges are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Updating Records: You will need to update records with correct schedules and ensure that the first month's deposit is recorded and that the void cheque is received during orientation.
  • Subsidies: You will be responsible for checking records and statements of payment from the government, and notifying parents of expiring subsidies.
  • Third-Party Invoicing: You will need to send invoices mid-month to ensure payment is received before bulk charges.
  • Promotions: You will notify parents whose promotions are expiring at the end of the month that they will be charged the full tuition fee as of the 1st of next month.
  • Outstanding Balances: You will check balances for every site, email or call parents to inquire about the status of payment, and notify sites if and when the payment will be made.
  • Reviewing Unpaid Invoices: You will review unpaid invoices and send reminders to parents regarding unpaid balances, updating applications with payments made.
  • Tuition Tracking: You will review and update 'tuition tracking' spreadsheets for each site and preparation of Reasonability tests.
  • Contact Person: You will be the contact person for all sites for any inquiries.
  • Claim Adjustments: You will handle claim adjustments for past claims made to the government for staff and kids.
  • Collections: You will look into outstanding balances and review accounts to follow up with parents.
Requirements
  • Remote Office Capabilities: You will need a secured internet connection, suitable working computer, telephony and virtual call applications, etc.
  • Finance Management Experience: You must have at least 5 years of experience in finance management.
  • Communication Skills: You must be able to communicate clearly and effectively, and be fluent in English, both speaking and writing with excellent grammar.
  • Educational Background: Educational management experience would be a plus.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: You must be adept at problem-solving.
  • Time Management Skills: You must possess excellent time management skills.
  • Interpersonal Skills: You must possess strong interpersonal skills.
  • Data Analysis: You must be able to effectively read and interpret information, present numerical data resourcefully, and skillfully gather and analyze information.
  • Prioritization: You must be able to prioritize and plan work activities to use time efficiently.
