Clinical Support Specialist

In this role, you will provide vital support to our clinical team by scheduling and confirming patient appointments via phone, email, or scheduling software.

Additionally, you will be responsible for preparing and sending reminders for upcoming appointments or follow-ups, as well as maintaining and updating patient records in the electronic medical records (EMR) system.

Your tasks will also include assisting with insurance verification and pre-authorization processes, managing incoming and outgoing correspondence, including emails and faxes, and serving as the first point of contact for patients.

You will need to escalate complex patient concerns to the appropriate medical staff or departments and collect patient information and update records during virtual check-ins.

Furthermore, you will provide patients with instructions for telehealth sessions and other virtual services.

This position requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key qualifications for this role include:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred
  • 1-2 years of experience in a similar role
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
