Project Manager - Construction Leader

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to lead our construction projects. The successful candidate will oversee the entire project lifecycle, from planning and design to implementation and closure, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

  • The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, mentorship, and motivational skills, coupled with excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation abilities.
  • They will possess strong project management and organizational skills, with a proven ability to lead and motivate high-performing teams.
  • A comprehensive understanding of relevant engineering principles and practices is essential, along with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in relevant software tools and technologies is also crucial.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing and vetting of tender and contract documents, scope of work, bills of quantities (BOQ), Tender/ Working Drawings, Shop Drawings etc.
  • Complete ownership of assigned projects from pre-tendering stage to completion.
  • Realistic benchmarking and finalization of scope of work for projects.
  • Monitoring each stage of construction to ensure costs align with forecasts.
  • Managing senior/project engineers to supervise and manage teams.
  • Establishing client requirements and undertaking feasibility studies.
  • Performing risk and value management and cost control.
  • Managing risks to avoid delays or reputational damages.
  • Maintaining awareness of all contracts in current use and working in compliance with quality assurance programs.
  • Understanding and adhering to statutory regulations, standard policies, and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from reputable institutions.
  • Minimum 18-20 years of progressive field experience in Civil Engineering with a focus on execution of structural works, RCC Works, Infrastructure works, public health works/schemes etc.
  • Experience with Category C-1 registered Pakistani firms will be preferred.
  • Completion of minimum 08 Projects as Senior Engineer/Team Lead/Senior Role not less than Contract Value of PKR 2 Billion from Pre-Tendering stage to successful completion.
  • Strong understanding of relevant building codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Sound knowledge of types of Contracts, Design review, Estimates, Rate Analysis, implementation of design.
  • In-depth knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices.
  • Professional Engineer (PE)/Registered Engineer license from Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC).
  • Proficiency in relevant software applications (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, Excel, MS Autocad).
