About the Role:

This full-time position involves teaching assigned courses, developing curriculum content, and supervising student projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences, mentoring students, and contributing to research activities within the department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate records of students' academic performance for internal evaluation purposes.
  • Supervise student projects, field trips, and placements, setting and marking work and examinations as required.
  • Teach assigned courses, developing your own teaching and learning skills in the process.
  • Employ innovative strategies to facilitate experiential learning during lessons.
  • Challenge thinking, foster debate, and develop critical discourse and rational thinking in students.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A postgraduate degree in Optometry or a related field.
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, staff, and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to academic excellence, with a proven track record of teaching and research experience.
