Financial Planning and Analysis Lead Role

The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving the monthly forecasting process, operating plan variance analysis, and special projects. This includes developing a thorough understanding of business operational functions and key revenue and cost drivers.

Influencing decisions and driving change in operating processes with a focus on driving positive financial results is also a key responsibility. The role involves leading the annual budget, long-range planning process, and collaborating with business leaders to ensure alignment.

This position requires experience in budgeting, forecasting, and strong analytical skills. Additionally, experience in financial reporting and presenting to Senior Management is highly desirable. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential for this role.

Key Accountabilities:
  • Develop and maintain accurate financial models and forecasts.
  • Collaborate with FP&A team to ensure seamless communication of risks and opportunities.
  • Lead monthly forecast, annual budget, and long-range planning process.
  • Drive process and content improvements to existing processes.
  • Mentor team members to provide value-added management reporting, decision support, and financial analysis.
Education and Experience:
  • BS in Accounting or Finance; an MBA and/or CPA is a plus.
  • 5-10 years of total experience, including experience in Financial Planning & Analysis.
Business Knowledge and Critical Skills:
  • Experience in retail industry is highly desirable.
  • Budgeting, forecasting, and strong analytical skills.
  • Experience in financial reporting and presenting to Senior Management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and strategic perspective.
  • Team player.
  • SAP and Hyperion systems knowledge, as well as advanced Excel skills.
