Cost Estimator Position

A US-based company is looking for a Senior Construction Estimator with at least 3-5 years' experience in the construction industry.

The Senior Construction Estimator will apply expert knowledge of construction costs to develop complete and accurate cost estimates.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepares construction estimates by studying blueprints and technical specifications, identifying project costs for each element of proposed improvements.
  • Has a complete understanding of plans, riser diagrams, and associated concepts.
  • Must have a good command over all CSI trades.
  • Responsible for calculating QTOs or BOQs to ensure accuracy.
  • Evaluates quotes and proposals to ensure compliance with the scope of work.
  • Understands, develops, and compiles high-level cost estimates for multiple projects.
  • Resolves cost discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
  • Assists with generating and organizing final proposal deliverables for submission.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or relevant field experience.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in US-based Projects.
  • Familiarity with estimating software such as Plan Swift, Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, etc.
  • Complete understanding of plans, riser diagrams, and associated concepts.
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency with estimating software.
  • General working knowledge and understanding of construction planning/specifications.
  • Ability to read plans and develop QTOs or BOQs.
  • Strong understanding of construction concepts and practices.
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical documents.
