Job Opportunity Overview

dLocal is seeking an experienced Country Manager to lead our strategy and partnerships in Pakistan. The ideal candidate will be responsible for enabling local payments processing for international merchants.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Building relationships with potential partners, acquirers, and banks
  • Negotiating and executing commercial partnerships and agreements
  • Collaborating with internal teams on operations/product/technology road maps and integration of partnerships
  • Analyzing performance results and optimizing accordingly
  • Improving operational capabilities for different payment methods
  • Staying up-to-date on local regulatory/licensing requirements and their impact on the business
  • Working closely with merchants and commercial teams to develop key products
  • Maintaining personal networks and participating in professional organizations
  • Engaging with local lawyers, accountants, and tax experts to ensure smooth operations
  • Staying informed about local regulations and engaging with regulators when necessary

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A strong ability to thrive in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment, with a self-starter mentality and willingness to work across time zones
  • Proven experience in payments or other financial systems in Pakistan
  • Success in partnering and working cross-functionally to drive results
  • Significant experience negotiating and executing contracts/agreements
  • Established relevant business network
  • Ability to take smart risks based on solid strategy and deep partnership understanding
  • Effective team player, able to lead projects/participate as a team member and work cross-functionally with other organizations
  • Curious profile and positive attitude
  • Thorough knowledge of the market
  • Technical knowledge a plus
  • Commitment to compliance and understanding of regulatory environment in Pakistan
