Event Planning and Operations Manager

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the overall management of events, including planning, execution, and evaluation.

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Cover all aspects of running and operating events with hotels for local and international clients.
    • Liaise with key staff members of the hotel and work closely with them to ensure successful event execution.
    • Prepare budgets and conduct thorough reporting before and after events.
    • Develop an annual event calendar and update it regularly.
    • Identify and recruit suitable team members and volunteers to support event operations.
    • Create training plans and deliver effective training to team members to enhance their skills and efficiency.
    • Monitor individual performance and provide regular updates to management on team and individual performances.
    • Negotiate with suppliers and vendors to achieve desired outcomes.
    • Contribute to strategic discussions on future event themes and share insights with senior management.
    • Collaborate with hotel staff on joint events.
    • Set priorities, communicate timelines, and maintain project schedules.
    • Establish strong relationships with head office and senior management teams.
    • Attend regular virtual meetings with remote senior management teams.
    • Maintain accurate inventory records for all supplies and accessories.
    • Oversee events from initial preparation through to final execution.
    • Manage project budgets from start to finish.
    • Foster excellent customer service and quality delivery.
Requirements
  • Experience in Event Planning and Operations, preferably within a well-established events venue or 4/5 star hotel property.
  • Able to work effectively on budgets.
  • Fluency in English is highly preferred.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines and targets.
  • Strong understanding of event operational knowledge and experience.
  • Flexibility in working hours.
