Key Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and enhance continuous integration and deployment pipelines for Kubernetes-based platforms.
  • Build and maintain Docker container images, managing associated dependencies.
Infrastructure and Environment Management
  • Configure, automate, and maintain environments across diverse infrastructures, including on-premises Kubernetes clusters, cloud services, and containerized environments.
  • Focus on process automation to increase efficiency and consistency.
Cluster Management and Operations
  • Deploy and manage large-scale Kubernetes clusters, databases, storage solutions, and application stacks.
  • Ensure high availability and resilience of infrastructure and applications.
Automation and Configuration Management
  • Leverage tools like Ansible and Puppet to automate environment setup and simplify configuration management.
Application Modernization and Integration
  • Collaborate with development teams to transition legacy monolithic applications to microservices architectures on both on-premises and cloud platforms.
Operational Efficiency and Automation
  • Utilize APIs, CLI tools, and custom scripting to automate repetitive operational tasks and improve efficiency.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Operating Systems: Proficiency in Unix-based environments, including RedHat and Ubuntu.
  • Build & CI Tools: Experience with build systems (e.g., Dockerfiles, Make) and CI/CD tools like GitLab CI/CD and Jenkins.
  • Virtualization & Containerization: Hands-on experience with VMware, Docker containers, and Kubernetes orchestration.
  • Scripting Languages: Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, and PowerShell.
  • Platform CLI Tools: Familiarity with CLI tools for Veeam Backup, VMware, AWS, Azure, and Netscaler load balancers.
  • API Integration: Ability to interact with REST APIs for data retrieval and posting.
  • Container Orchestration & Management: Expertise with on-prem Kubernetes and Docker Compose.
  • Configuration Management & Infrastructure As Code (IaC): Skilled in tools like Ansible, Puppet, and Terraform.
  • Monitoring & Logging Tools: Experience with Grafana, Prometheus, ELK stack, and SolarWinds for monitoring and logging.
  • Cloud Platforms: Familiarity with AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.
  • Source Control: Proficient in Git for version control and team collaboration.

The ideal candidate should have 5 to 7 years of relevant experience.
