Job Overview

The IRC responds to the world's worst humanitarian crises, helping to restore health, safety, education, economic wellbeing, and power to people devastated by conflict and disaster. As a leading international humanitarian non-governmental organization (INGO), it works in over 40 countries and 29 U.S. cities to help people survive, reclaim control of their future, and strengthen their communities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Leadership:
    • Lead program design, oversee donor relations and compliance, and develop strong partnerships to support high-quality programming and funding diversification.
  • Business Development and Fundraising:
    • Ensure proposal processes are well managed, that funding diversification goals are met, and that funding efforts are aligned with strategic priorities.
    • Grow and diversify funding based on the country program strategy by developing and reviewing concept papers and proposals for various projects and programs to achieve short-term and long-term goals.
  • Awards Management and Donor Compliance:
    • Lead post-award processes including contract reviews, amendments, and donor negotiations.
    • Ensure timely and high-quality narrative and financial reporting in collaboration with finance, programs, and operations.
  • Partnerships Leadership:
    • Operationalize the partnership strategy and ensure its consistent application across programs.
    • Select partners through due diligence and vetting in collaboration with technical and operational teams.
  • Representation and External Engagement:
    • Represent the IRC in donor meetings, proposal development discussions, and coordination platforms.
Requirements:
  • Masters degree in business administration, finance, economics or relevant field required.
  • Strong understanding of Pakistani context.
  • Sound knowledge of current policy regime for NGOs in Pakistan.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Proven experience in leading business development units in an international NGO.
  • Experience working in teams to design, implement and monitor complex donor funded programs.
  • Experience working with institutional donors on compliance matters.
  • Deep understanding of contracts/agreement governance and the contract lifecycle.
