**Job Description**

The successful candidate will lead and direct the routine functions of the Human Resources (HR) department, including hiring, interviewing staff, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Recruit, interview, hire, and train new staff in the department.
  • Oversee the daily workflow of the HR department.
  • Provide constructive and timely performance evaluations.
  • Handle discipline and termination of employees according to company policy.

**Duties/Responsibilities:**

  • Partner with senior leadership to understand and execute the organization's human resource and talent strategy, focusing on current and future talent needs, recruitment, retention, and succession planning.
  • Support and guide HR generalists, management, and other staff when complex, sensitive questions and issues arise, while executing routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations.
  • Manage the talent acquisition process, which includes recruitment, interviewing, and hiring qualified job applicants, particularly for managerial, exempt, and professional roles; collaborate with departmental managers to understand required skills and competencies.
  • Analyze trends in compensation and benefits, research, and propose competitive base and incentive pay programs to attract and retain top talent.
  • Develop learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal growth opportunities for employees.
  • Oversee employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, reviewing policies and practices to ensure compliance.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.

**Required Skills and Qualifications:**

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills are essential.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate when necessary.
  • Act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality at all times.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations is required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or related software is a must.
  • Familiarity with HRIS and talent management systems is highly desired.

**Education and Experience:**

  • A bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is mandatory.
  • At least three years of experience in human resource management is preferred.
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification is highly desirable.
