Key Responsibilities:

  • Record and reconcile financial transactions, including rents, deposits, invoices, and expenses.
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for property owners and management.
  • Maintain accurate records of tenant ledgers and security deposits.
  • Assist in preparing budgets and monitoring financial performance of properties.
  • Process rent collections and follow up on delinquencies.
  • Reconcile bank statements and property trust accounts.
  • Support payroll and vendor payments as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
  • 2+ years of bookkeeping/accounting experience in property management.
  • Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Able to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
