Job Title: Freight Operative

Transport goods across various routes, operating a commercial vehicle while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate a heavy commercial vehicle safely on designated routes.
  • Efficiently load and unload cargo.
  • Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and report maintenance needs.
  • Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations.
  • Keep accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption.
  • Coordinate with dispatchers for route planning and scheduling.
Required Qualifications:
  • Valid commercial driver's license.
  • Clean driving record with no major violations.
  • Ability to pass background checks and drug tests.
  • Physical ability to load/unload cargo and operate heavy vehicles.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; graduates preferred.
  • Good communication skills.
Working Conditions:

This physically demanding role involves long hours of driving, loading/unloading cargo, and exposure to various weather conditions. Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays is required.
