The Nutrition and Food Services Department is seeking a Trainee Dietitian to join its team.
About the RoleThis is a one-year traineeship programme that offers hands-on experience in various activities of the department.
- Assessing nutritional needs of therapeutic patients
- Compiling dietetic information and updating patients' nutrition plans
- Counselling patients on nutrition in outpatient and inpatient settings
- Organizing and reporting records and statistics of meals served and nutritional counselling provided
- Examining diet orders and cross-checking them with meal slips and daily menus
- Rectifying any deficiencies in meal service and inspecting tray line operations
- Taking up clinical and non-clinical assignments related to clinical nutrition care
To be eligible for this role, you should have:
- A Bachelor's degree in Human Nutrition or Home Economics with majors in Nutrition & Food Management
- Good interpersonal skills, particularly communication skills
- A good command of computer applications, especially MS Office
- Willingness to work independently as well as in teams and handle work pressure
