As an Employee Relations Manager, you will play a pivotal role in fostering a positive workplace culture and ensuring compliance with organizational standards.
The Regional Employee Relations Manager is responsible for overseeing and enhancing employee relations across field offices within the region. This involves addressing employee concerns, resolving disputes, managing investigations, and delivering effective training programs.
This role requires a trusted advisor who can work closely with field office managers and HR teams to develop and implement strategies that maintain positive employee relations in alignment with organizational values.
You will be responsible for monitoring workplace conditions and addressing potential issues proactively to mitigate risks. A strong ability to interpret regional labor laws and employment practices is essential for this role.
A key responsibility of this position is leading and managing sensitive and complex workplace investigations, including allegations of misconduct, harassment, and policy violations. You must maintain confidentiality and impartiality throughout investigation processes.
Investigation reports should be high quality and detailed, providing actionable recommendations to prevent future occurrences. Mediation and dispute resolution are also critical skills for this role.
The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of HR experience, with a focus on employee relations, including at least 3 years in a managerial role in the INGO sector. Proven experience conducting workplace investigations and resolving disputes is required.
A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is necessary. A Master's degree or certification in HR (e.g., SHRM, CIPD, or equivalent) is preferred.
Familiarity with donor compliance standards, Field Office Ops, and safeguarding policies is highly desirable. Multilingual capabilities relevant to the region are also an asset.
