As a senior academic professional, you will be responsible for managing and supervising clinical and academic activities within the department. You will oversee tasks assigned to junior medical staff, ensuring smooth functioning of patient care, teaching, and training of students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver lectures, seminars, and practical skills training sessions for MBBS/BDS students according to the curriculum.
  • Facilitate postgraduate trainees in clinical presentations, small group discussions, case-based and problem-based teaching, journal clubs, psychomotor skills training, and preparation for inter-module examinations and dissertations.
  • Assist the Head of Department in organizing conferences and meetings with professional organizations.
  • Coordinate research and development activities with faculty members and postgraduate trainees, promoting continuous education and learning.
  • Communicate knowledge on basic patient care management to develop clinical and practical skills of students.
  • Support the Head of Department in conducting examinations for MBBS/BDS students.
  • Ensure regular OPD sessions for continuing medical care and manage new patients referred for specialist advice.
  • Conduct ward rounds to monitor patient progress and provide supervision.
  • Provide specialist advice on medical problems referred from other departments.
  • Assess patients in the emergency department as needed.
  • Ensure on-call commitments after regular duty hours to provide 24-hour coverage.
