Job Title: Clinical Training Specialist
Our department seeks a highly skilled and experienced individual to fill the role of Clinical Training Specialist. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital part in the management and supervision of clinical activities within the department.This includes patient care, teaching, and training of students. The successful candidate will be responsible for assigning duties to senior registrars and registrar staff to ensure smooth functioning in these areas.In addition, they will manage, supervise, and train postgraduate medical officers (PGs), medical officers (MOs), house officers (HOs), and other paramedical staff.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lectures and Teaching: Deliver lectures, seminars, and clinical & practical skills sessions for MBBS/BDS students, including small group discussions, evaluation, and assessment according to the curriculum.
  • Postgraduate Training: Facilitate postgraduate trainees in clinical presentation, small group discussions, case-based and problem-based teaching, journal clubs, psychomotor skills training, and preparation for examinations and dissertation.
  • Departmental Activities: Assist the Head of Department/Professor in organizing conferences and collaborations with professional organizations.
  • Research and Publication: Coordinate research activities, facilitate publication requirements, and promote continuous education for faculty and postgraduate trainees.
  • Medical Procedures: Teach basic management of common patient problems, including emergency treatment, decision-making, and developing clinical skills in students.
  • Examinations: Assist in organizing MBBS/BDS examinations.
  • Patient Care: Ensure regular OPD sessions for ongoing medical care and supervise new patient referrals for specialist advice.
  • Ward Rounds: Conduct ward rounds to monitor and manage inpatient care.
  • Diagnostic Services: Perform medical procedures under supervision and ensure diagnostics and investigations are completed appropriately.
  • Specialist Advice: Provide specialist advice on patients referred from other departments.
  • Emergency Department: Assess patients in the emergency department for consultancy as needed.
  • On-Call Duties: Participate in on-call duties after hours to provide critical patient care.
  • Departmental Inquiries: Assist in departmental inquiries related to mortalities.
