Senior Project Engineer

Project Management and Engineering Leadership

1. Develop a comprehensive project strategy, collaborating with stakeholders to define objectives, deliverables, and milestones.
2. Create and implement effective project plans, timelines, and resource allocation strategies to ensure successful project execution.
3. Lead complex engineering projects from conceptualization to completion, ensuring adherence to quality, cost, and schedule goals.
4. Design, develop, and troubleshoot Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) systems for optimal performance.
5. Commission, test, and optimize Electrical Safety Devices (ESD) and Fire and Gas (F&G) systems to ensure safe working conditions.
6. Create and optimize Human Machine Interface (HMI) scripting for enhanced system functionality and user experience.
7. Configure and troubleshoot industrial communication protocols to ensure seamless data exchange between systems.
8. Prepare thorough documentation, including Functional Design Specifications (FDS) and testing procedures, to facilitate knowledge sharing and project evaluation.
9. Utilize expertise in VMWare products to meet project requirements and ensure efficient system operation.
10. Proficiency in MS Windows Server-based machines and MS Office applications is required to support project needs.
11. Hands-on experience with Layer 2/3 networking equipment, such as switches, routers, and firewalls, is necessary for project execution.
12. Experience with EPLAN/AutoCAD software is essential for effective design and documentation.
13. Knowledge of Visual Basic (VB) applications is desirable for developing custom tools and scripts.
14. Coordinate and communicate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with project objectives and stakeholder expectations.
15. Oversee project execution, conducting regular progress assessments and implementing mitigation strategies to minimize risks and ensure project success.
16. Ensure that projects meet quality, cost, and schedule goals by identifying and addressing potential issues proactively.
17. Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and address project requirements and constraints, ensuring that all parties are informed and aligned throughout the project lifecycle.
18. Ensure compliance with engineering standards, safety regulations, and company policies to maintain a high level of professionalism and integrity.
19. Provide technical guidance and support to clients and engineers on project teams to foster knowledge sharing and capacity building.
20. Implement and oversee quality control processes and testing procedures to ensure that projects meet specified standards and requirements.
21. Leadership skills play a critical role in ensuring the success of engineering projects. Effective leaders must be able to think strategically, solve complex problems, and motivate and inspire others to achieve project objectives.
22. Prepare and present project status reports to senior management and key stakeholders, providing transparent and accurate information to inform decision-making.
23. Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices within the Engineering Department to enhance efficiency and productivity.
24. Adhere to safety and quality standards in all activities, prioritizing the well-being of personnel and the environment.
