Project Manager (R&D) Position

Description:

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution with at least 09 years of experience in R&D and project management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Planning: Develop, implement, and control project plans to achieve objectives.
  • Resource Allocation: Manage project budgets, resources, and timelines for successful delivery.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with cross-functional departments to define project requirements.
  • Progress Monitoring: Track project progress and adjust plans as necessary.
  • Tender Development: Create and review project tenders, engineering specifications, and service level agreements.
  • Procurement: Source supplies, services, and after-sale support required for projects.
  • Design and Analysis: Lead the design & analyses team on various projects, ensuring design meets requirements.
  • Bidding Document Development: Develop bidding documents in compliance with industry regulations.
  • Procurement Strategy: Finalize procurement mode, strategy, and cycle time in consultation with senior management.
  • Innovation and Improvement: Foster innovation and continuous improvement within project teams.
  • Compliance: Ensure project contracts, industry regulations, and standards are met.
  • Reporting: Regularly report project status, challenges, and outcomes to senior management.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate project risks.
  • Documentation: Maintain project documentation according to best practices.
  • Feasibility Studies: Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments for potential projects.
  • New Technologies: Lead the identification and development of new technologies to address business needs.
  • Mentorship: Develop junior engineers within project teams.
  • Coordination: Coordinate with operational departments for project implementation.
  • Partner Coordination: Coordinate with external partners and vendors to support project objectives.
  • Technology Integration: Oversee integration of new technologies into existing systems.
  • Engineering Standards: Support development and maintenance of engineering standards and specifications.
  • Training Programs: Develop and implement training programs for project management methodologies.
  • Standards Familiarization: Familiarize with relevant industry standards and regulations.
  • Risk Assessment: Identify and assess risks under their management/ownership.
  • Risk Response Strategies: Develop and implement risk response strategies for managed risks.
  • Risk Monitoring: Monitor risks and response strategies under management.
  • Information Accuracy: Ensure accuracy and timeliness of information provided for risk reporting.
